What the work actually looks like

Real engagements, kept anonymous until clients confirm they are happy to be named. Each one started with a business that had a gap, not a tidy brief.

Construction and civils

Bringing control to a fast moving construction project

Live infrastructure works, information arriving from every direction, and nobody with a clear view of what was still missing.

The problem

A construction business had live infrastructure works approaching quickly, with information coming from multiple contractors, suppliers, councils and third parties.

There were licences, traffic management information, RAMS, competency records, drawings, utilities information, subcontractor documents and project actions all needing to come together.

The issue was not simply creating paperwork. It was knowing what was still missing, who owned it and what needed sorting before work could progress properly.

What Dellsche did

Dellsche stepped into the gap between project administration and compliance support, helping coordinate and control:

  • Pre-start compliance information
  • RAMS and safety documentation support
  • Competency and training evidence
  • Licence and authority documentation
  • Contractor and supplier information
  • Document control
  • Outstanding action tracking
  • Project correspondence
  • Daily project reporting
  • Procurement administration where specifically agreed

Instead of important information sitting across emails and conversations, the project had a much clearer picture of what had been received, what was outstanding and what needed chasing.

The outcome

The client had structured support around a busy live project rather than trying to manage every compliance and administrative action internally.

It is a good example of where Dellsche sits really well. Not replacing the contractor, project manager or competent person, but making sure the information, actions and paperwork around them are actually controlled.

Engineering

Turning accreditation overwhelm into a controlled action plan

They didn't have nothing. They had loads. Finding it, checking it and getting the right evidence into the right place was the issue.

The problem

An engineering business needed support across several compliance and accreditation requirements, including SSIP and Constructionline related evidence.

The business already had a lot of information. The challenge was identifying what was actually acceptable, what was missing, what needed updating and how the evidence linked back to the questions being asked.

Classic compliance problem, really. They didn't have nothing. They had loads. Finding it, checking it and getting the right evidence into the right place was the issue.

What Dellsche did

Dellsche reviewed the requirements and supported the business with:

  • Accreditation evidence gathering
  • Policy and procedure reviews
  • RAMS evidence
  • Subcontractor assessment documentation
  • Post works appraisal controls
  • COSHH and fatigue management documentation
  • Compliance questionnaires
  • Portal submissions
  • Assessor feedback and returned actions
  • Supporting financial and company evidence where supplied by the client
  • Ongoing action tracking

Rather than randomly uploading documents and hoping for the best, the evidence was worked through against the actual requirements.

The outcome

The business progressed its compliance submissions and received a successful SSIP outcome during the engagement.

More importantly, it started building reusable compliance evidence rather than treating every accreditation question as a completely new job.

NDT and inspection

Making ISNetworld requirements manageable

None of it is glamorous on its own. Together it becomes a massive time drain when somebody still has a business to run.

The problem

An inspection business needed ongoing support managing its ISNetworld requirements and client specific compliance information.

The work covered questionnaires, company information, documentation, training requirements and evidence requests.

None of those things individually are particularly glamorous. Together, they can become a massive time drain when somebody still has an actual business to run.

What Dellsche did

Dellsche supported the company with:

  • QMS questionnaire completion
  • Evidence review and organisation
  • Change request documentation
  • Company information updates
  • Annual statistical information
  • Work type information
  • Employee training assignments
  • Client specific training requirements
  • Evidence uploads and outstanding requirement tracking
  • Queries and support tickets where information needed clarification

Where information could not be confirmed, it was treated as an outstanding action rather than guessed.

The outcome

The business moved significantly closer to having its ISNetworld requirements organised and controlled, with outstanding items clearly identified rather than buried across the platform.

Dellsche became an extra pair of hands for the compliance administration while the business retained responsibility for its technical operations and approvals.

Creative in practice

Compliance is not the whole story

Plenty of businesses do genuinely interesting work and simply need help talking about it.

Creative

Turning completed electrical projects into useful marketing content

Electrical and decarbonisation

Like loads of technical businesses, the client was doing interesting work but needed help actually talking about it.

Projects were being completed across commercial and public sector sites, but somebody still needed to turn those projects into content that potential clients could understand.

Dellsche provided ongoing project based social media support. Content was developed around real completed works including decarbonisation and electrical projects across different sites.

The client had a more consistent supply of relevant content built around real evidence of what the business actually does.

It made marketing easier because we were not inventing things to talk about. The work was already there. Dellsche simply helped turn it into something visible.

What we have helped with

A few more examples

PracticalCompliant

Getting training, RAMS and compliance records back under control

Construction and engineering

The individual jobs were manageable. The volume, and the fact nobody owned the administration behind them, was not.

  • Training matrix administration
  • Adding and controlling additional workforce records
  • RAMS system administration
  • Evidence organisation
  • Preparing for internal audit activity
  • Identifying missing or incomplete information
  • Improving how compliance information could be monitored going forward

The engagement created a clearer route for maintaining training and compliance information as the workforce and workload changed.

It also highlighted an ongoing support requirement rather than treating compliance administration as something that only gets looked at when an audit is looming.

CompliantPractical

Making sense of accreditation requirements across a group

Electrical and building services

The request sounded like “help us with accreditation”. The actual requirement was visibility across the whole group.

  • Each company or business area
  • Existing accreditations
  • Required accreditations
  • Relevant management systems
  • Certification coverage
  • Identified gaps
  • Ownership and next actions

The client gained a clearer structure for deciding what was genuinely required, what already existed and where further work needed to be prioritised.

It is a good example of Dellsche solving the problem behind the problem.

A note on names

Every case study here is anonymised. Client names, projects and internal details are not used publicly without written permission, so the businesses stay unnamed until they tell us otherwise. Where hard outcome figures such as time saved or accreditation dates are not confirmed, they are left out rather than estimated.
